Keep Your Newborn Safe From Cold

 

Winter is here along with its cold, bitter winds and it is time now to get infected with cold and flu. However, as adults we find it hard to fight the cold, so, it must be harder for the little babies especially the newborns. They are fragile and have a low immunity level which make them even more vulnerable to the sudden cold. However, if you are careful enough you can easily keep them well-protected with caps mittens and booties.

Here are some tips that you need to keep in mind:

• If you are taking the baby outside then you must be very careful as the temperature outside would be vastly different from what the baby is used to inside the room or house. Before you take out the bay make sure that the temperature is not too cold, if it is then you must not take the baby out. Even when the temperature is tolerable enough, wrap your baby in proper winter clothes. If you put the bay in a stroller then use stroller cover, you could also use a good carry nest sleeping bag.
• You need to dress your baby as per the temperature. In winter make sure that you add layers to keep the baby warm and comfortable. So, instead of just one simple piece of clothing, you could opt for bottom layers and upper layers as well, also make sure that you get the best baby blankets for winter. The baby socks are also a must during this weather, but, make sure that your baby is feeling comfortable in layers, if not then you can remove some.
• Another important thing to do would be to keep an eye on your baby, to notice if anything is wrong. If the baby is feeling too cold then bring the baby in comfortable temperature immediately. Do not expose the newborn to bitter winds and cold temperature, the feet should always be covered in newborn socks. If the baby continues to shiver then call the doctor and get a checkup done.
